Topological magnetic textures have attracted considerable interest since they exhibit new properties and might be useful in information technology. Magnetic hopfions are three-dimensional (3D) spatial variations in the magnetization with a nontrivial Hopf index. We find that, in ferromagnetic materials, two types of hopfions, Bloch-type and Néel-type hopfions, can be excited as metastable states in the presence of bulk and interfacial Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interactions, respectively. We further…
Hopfion Dynamics in Chiral Magnets

Current-Induced Dynamics of Chiral Magnetic Structures: Creation, Motion, and Applications
Magnetic textures can be manipulated by electric currents via the mechanisms of spin-transfer and spin-orbit-torques. We review how these torques can be exploited to create chiral magnetic textures
Unidirectional current-driven toron motion in a cylindrical nanowire
A magnetic toron is a spatially localized three-dimensional spin texture composed of skyrmionic layers with two Bloch points at its two ends. The magnetic toron can, thus, be stabilized in chiral

Binding a hopfion in a chiral magnet nanodisk
Hopfions are three-dimensional (3D) topological textures characterized by the integer Hopf invariant $Q_H$. Here, we present the realization of a zero--field, stable hopfion spin texture in a
Nucleation, stability and current-induced motion of isolated magnetic skyrmions in nanostructures.
TLDR
It is demonstrated by numerical investigations that an isolated skyrmion can be a stable configuration in a nanostructure, can be locally nucleated by injection of spin-polarized current, and can be displaced by current-induced spin torques, even in the presence of large defects.
Hybrid chiral domain walls and skyrmions in magnetic multilayers
TLDR
It is shown how, in these multilayered systems, the interlayer interactions can actually lead to hybrid chiral magnetization arrangements, which has far-reaching implications on how to stabilize and manipulate DWs, as well as skymionic structures in magnetic multilayers.
Perpendicular reading of single confined magnetic skyrmions
TLDR
A technique to detect isolated nanoskyrmions with a current perpendicular-to-plane geometry, which has immediate implications for device concepts and the physics behind such a mechanism is explored by studying the atomistic electronic structure of the magnetic quasiparticles.
Static three-dimensional topological solitons in fluid chiral ferromagnets and colloids.
