Doreen g. fernandez first wrote about food around 1969, more than a decade after she married designer Wili Fernandez, who was known as an enthusiastic gourmet. Wili was asked to write a food column for The Manila Chronicle “that would make mouths water.”2 The couple struck a deal. He would eat and she would write. Doreen began with some trepidation.
