Transcription-repair coupling factors (TRCFs) are SF2 ATPases that couple transcription to DNA-damage repair by recognizing and removing RNA polymerase-elongation complexes stalled at DNA lesions and recruiting the nucleotide excision-repair machinery to the damaged sites.
