Disseminated cryptococcosis is generally seen in immunocompromised patients mainly associated with Human Immunodeficiency Virus. Spontaneous cryptococcal peritonitis among patients of disseminated cryptococcosis is a rare presentation, which is presented in cases with cirrhosis of liver. It can be confused with spontaneous bacterial peritonitis.
