The toxicity of the cryoprotectant dimethyl sulfoxide (Me(2)SO) to isolated blastomeres was examined in three fish species representative of distinct environments: marine (whiting, Sillago japonica); estuarine (pejerrey, Odontesthes bonariensis); and freshwater (medaka, Oryzias latipes).
