This paper investigates the effect of dehydration, rewarming, unloading and regrowth conditions and of bulb post-harvest storage duration on survival and regeneration of cryopreserved garlic shoot tips. PVS3 was the most effective of the seven vitrification solutions compared. Treating shoot tips with PVS3 for 150-180 min ensured 92 % regeneration after freezing.
