Mature males of Penaeus monodon were used for the collection of spermatozoa. The cryopreservation technique was carried out in different combinaitons of cryoprotectants using glucose, glycerol, DMSO and methanol. The spermatozoa was preserved at - 196°C and the survival rate was assessed once in five days for a month. The combination of glucose + methanol gave the best survival rate.
