This study empirically validated Antonovsky's suggestion that a Sense of Coherence is important in managing stress and remaining both physically and psychologically healthy. In both Anglo-American and Native American cultures, Sense of Coherence Measures were found to correlate negatively with measures of physical and mental distress.
