Expression of glutamate dehydrogenase and aspartate aminotransferase in eucalypt ectomycorrhizas
The results suggest that fungal gene expression is moderated by the host plant but also depends on the fungal associate.
Morphogenesis and free amino acid composition of the ascomycete Sphaerostilbe repens as influenced by nitrogen and calcium
Abstract Sphaerostilbe repens utilizes nitrate and ammonium as nitrogen sources. Differentiation of mycelium into rhizomorphs and coremia was reduced in the presence of nitrate and completely
Distribution of nitrate reductase activity in Vicia faba: Effect of nitrate and plant genotype
The results indicate that in V. faba, the effects of NO 3 − and plant genotype on NR activity depended on plant organ and time ofNO 3 − application, but the distribution of No 3 − reduction through the plant was mainly dependent on plant genotypes, and to a lesser extent on NO 3 3 − supply and plant age.
Regulation of Nitrate Reductase in the Basidiomycete Ustilago maydis
Experiments with cycloheximide and actinomycin D, together with measurements of protein turnover, suggested that nitrate reductase is actively broken down when cells with fully induced activity are transferred to medium containing ammonium ions.
Effects of nitrate on in vivo nitrate reductase activity of seedlings from three open-pollinated families of Robinia pseudoacacia
In vivo NO5 reductase activity (NRA) was determined in eightand nine-week-old nodulated seedlings from three open-pollinated families of black locust (Robinia pseudoacacia L.) that were grown in sand
Multiple forms of nitrate reductase and their role in nitrate assimilation in roots of wheat at low temperature or high salinity
NADPH-, NADH-, and KNO 3 -eluted fractions of nitrate reductase (NR) were isolated from roots of winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L. cv. Mironovskaya 808) grown under low temperature or high salinity.
