This paper examines the simulation language SIMAN, describes its capabilities and critiques it as a programming language. SIMAN is one of the latest of the fourth generation general purpose simulation languages. It's design was oriented toward the simulation of production and manufacturing systems. We discuss the structural organization of the language including its control, data, name and syntactic structures.
