  • This essay traces the postcolonial career of the excremental signifier in its assimilationist, imperative and subversive forms. Drawing on the work of Friedrich Nietzsche and Georges Bataille, it tries to move past the ontological machines of the post-colony and imagine a politics of heterogeneous existence, bio-trash and unassimilable waste.
