In this paper, the Crameacuter-Rao Lower Bound (CRLB) for the parametric estimation of quantized sinewaves is analyzed, including the effect of analog-to-digital-converter (ADC) noise. An accurate model based on the statistical properties of quantized data is presented, which takes into account both the effects of the finite ADC resolution and of the quantizer overloading phenomena at a low computational cost.
