We define and calculate helicity partial-wave amplitudes for processes linking the Electroweak Symmetry Breaking Sector (EWSBS) to $$\gamma \gamma $$γγ, employing (to NLO) the Higgs-EFT (HEFT) extension of the Standard Model and the Equivalence Theorem, while neglecting all particle masses. The resulting amplitudes can be useful in the energy regime ($$500~\mathrm{{GeV}}{-}3~\mathrm{{TeV}}$$500GeV-3TeV). We also deal with their unitarization so that resonances of the EWSBS can simultaneously be…

Constraints on anomalous quartic gauge couplings via Zγjj production at the LHC
The vector boson scattering at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is sensitive to anomalous quartic gauge couplings (aQGCs). In this paper, we investigate the aQGC contribution to $ W \gamma jj$
Extract the energy scale of anomalous γγ → W+W− scattering in the vector boson scattering process using artificial neural networks
Abstract As a model independent approach to search for the signals of new physics (NP) beyond the Standard Model (SM), the SM effective field theory (SMEFT) draws a lot of attention recently. The
Collider production of electroweak resonances from γγ states
A bstractWe estimate production cross sections for 2-body resonances of the Electroweak Symmetry Breaking sector (in WLWL and ZLZL rescattering) from γγ scattering. We employ unitarized Higgs
Coupling of tt̄ and γγ with a strongly interacting Electroweak Symmetry Breaking Sector
We report the coupling of an external γγ or tt state to a strongly interacting EWSBS satisfying unitarity. We exploit perturbation theory for those coupling of the external state, whereas the EWSBS
Production of W+W− pairs via γ*γ* → W+W− subprocess with photon transverse momenta
A bstractWe discuss production of W+W− pairs in proton-proton collisions induced by two-photon fusion including, for a first time, transverse momenta of incoming photons. The unintegrated inelastic
Analytical Properties and Unitarization
This chapter includes a detailed study of the mathematical properties of the S-matrix, encoded in dispersion relations. Several unitarization procedures (IAM, N/D, old K-matrix and improved K-matrix)
Constraints on anomalous quartic gauge couplings via Wγjj production at the LHC

Fitting Higgs data with nonlinear effective theory
TLDR
One of the main conclusions of the analysis is that since the conventional EFT formalism can be properly justified within a QFT framework, it should continue to play a central role in analyzing and interpreting Higgs data.
Top–antitop production from $$W^+_L W^-_L$$WL+WL- and $$Z_L Z_L$$ZLZL scattering under a strongly interacting symmetry-breaking sector
By considering a non-linear electroweak chiral Lagrangian, including the Higgs, coupled to heavy quarks, and the equivalence theorem, we compute the one-loop scattering amplitudes $$W^+W^-\rightarrow
Heavy Higgs bosons in the Weinberg-Salam model
We search for a systematic way to characterize the low-energy sensitivity of the minimal Weinberg-Salam model to a heavy-Higgs-boson sector. We find that it is convenient to view this theory as the
Unitarity, analyticity, dispersion relations, and resonances in strongly interacting $W_LW_L$, $Z_LZ_L$, and hh scattering
If the Electroweak Symmetry Breaking Sector turns out to be strongly interacting, the actively investigated effective theory for longitudinal gauge bosons plus Higgs can be efficiently extended to
Evidence for exclusive γγ → W+W− production and constraints on anomalous quartic gauge couplings in pp collisions at s=7$$ \sqrt{s}=7 $$ and 8 TeV
A bstractA search for exclusive or quasi-exclusive γγ → W+W− production, via pp → p(*)W+W−p(*) → p(*)μ±e∓p(*) at s=8$$ \sqrt{s}=8 $$ TeV, is reported using data corresponding to an integrated
One-loop γγ → WL+WL− and γγ → ZLZL from the Electroweak Chiral Lagrangian with a light Higgs-like scalar
A bstractIn this work we study the γγ → WL+WL− and γγ → ZLZL scattering processes within the effective chiral Lagrangian approach, including a light Higgs-like scalar as a dynamical field together
Light 'Higgs', yet strong interactions
The claimed finding of a light Higgs boson makes the minimal Standard Model unitary. Yet, we recall that the general low-energy dynamics for the minimal electroweak symmetry breaking sector with
Strong double higgs production at the LHC
The hierarchy problem and the electroweak data, together, provide a plausible motivation for considering a light Higgs emerging as a pseudo-Goldstone boson from a strongly-coupled sector. In that
Longitudinal WW scattering in light of the “Higgs boson” discovery
WW scattering is dominated at high energies by their longitudinal components, which are the most sensitive to the nature of the electroweak symmetry breaking. Prior to the discovery at the LHC of a
