Cosmology for Particle Physicists
@article{Yajnik2016CosmologyFP, title={Cosmology for Particle Physicists}, author={Urjit A. Yajnik}, journal={arXiv: High Energy Physics - Phenomenology}, year={2016}, pages={187-261} }
Over the past two decades Cosmology has increasingly become a precision science. That the Universe is expanding was an astonishing discovery. Now we know its details to unprecedented precision. An expanding Universe also implied an extremely compact state in the past, and therefore very high temperature.

I schematically, and very lightly, review some ideas that fuel model building in the field of baryogenesis. Due to limitations of space, and my expertise, this mini-review is incomplete and biased…
A Bi-directional Big Bang/Crunch Universe within a Two-State-Vector Quantum Mechanics?
- PhysicsFoundations of Physics

The early stages of the universe evolution are discussed according to the hot big bang model and the grand unified theories. The shortcomings of big bang are summarized and their resolution by…
Inflation and the theory of cosmological perturbations
- Physics, Economics

These lectures provide a pedagogical introduction to inflation and the theory of cosmological perturbations generated during inflation which are thought to be the origin of structure in the universe.
Lectures on the theory of cosmological perturbations
- Physics
- 2003
The theory of cosmological perturbations has become a cornerstone of modern quantitative cosmology since it is the framework which provides the link between the models of the very early Universe such…
