BACKGROUND Fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) of TB lymphadenitis (TBL) in HIV shows four different patterns, which may be reflective of immune status. We hypothesize that the CD(4) counts, a marker of immunologic status, correlates with FNAC morphology of TBL.
