We discuss the computation of correlation functions in holographic RG flows. The method utilizes a recently developed hamiltonian version of holographic renormalization and it is more efficient than previous methods. A significant simplification concerns the treatment of infinities: instead of performing a general analysis of counterterms, we develop a method where only the contribution of counterterms to any given correlators needs to be computed. For instance, the computation of renormalized…

Holographic renormalization by Hamilton-Jacobi formulation with generated ansatz

In AdS/CFT corresponding, the UV divergence of generating functional on the field theory can be removed as the IR divergence in the gravity. This geometric process is well known as holographic

Holographic RG flow and the quantum effective action

The calculation of the full (renormalized) holographic action is undertaken in general Einstein‐scalar theories. The appropriate formalism is developed and the renormalized effective action is

Holographic trace anomaly and local renormalization group

A bstractThe Hamilton-Jacobi method in holography has produced important results both at a renormalization group (RG) fixed point and away from it. In this paper we use the Hamilton-Jacobi method to

Holographic Renormalization of Two-Point Functions in Non-AdS/Non-CFT

We review recent progress on holographic renormalization in the context of the gauge-gravity correspondence when the bulk geometry is not asymptotically AdS. The prime example is the

Non-relativistic holography

We consider holography for d-dimensional scale invariant but non-Lorentz invariant field theories, which do not admit the full Schrodinger symmetry group. We find new realizations of the

The a-theorem and conformal symmetry breaking in holographic RG flows

A bstractWe study holographic models describing an RG flow between two fixed points driven by a relevant scalar operator. We show how to introduce a spurion field to restore Weyl invariance and

Lectures on Holographic Renormalization

We provide a pedagogical introduction to the method of holographic renormalization, in its Hamiltonian incarnation. We begin by reviewing the description of local observables, global symmetries, and

On Holographic RG Flows

A study of holographic renormalization group (RG) flows is discussed in the framework of supergravity and string theories. Some RG flow solutions are found in N = 4 Chern-Simons gauged supergravity

Holograpic Renormalization of Fake supergravities

The string/gauge theory correspondence allows to calculate correlators in certain strongly coupled gauge theories via solving the equations of motion of supergravity (SUGRA). In this work we propose

Notes on Fluctuations and Correlation Functions in Holographic Renormalization Group Flows

We study the coupled equations describing fluctuations of scalars and the metric about background solutions of N=8 gauged supergravity which are dual to boundary field theories with renormalization

Correlation functions in holographic renormalization group flows

Holographic Renormalization

A Note on the Weyl anomaly in the holographic renormalization group

We give a prescription for calculating the holographic Weyl anomaly in arbitrary dimension within the framework based on the Hamilton-Jacobi equation proposed by de Boer, Verlinde and Verlinde. A few

How to go with an RG flow

We apply the formalism of holographic renormalization to domain wall solutions of 5-dimensional supergravity which are dual to deformed conformal field theories in 4 dimensions. We carefully compute

AdS/CFT correspondence and geometry

In the first part of this paper we provide a short introduction to the AdS/CFT correspondence and to holographic renormalization. We discuss how QFT correlation functions, Ward identities and

Lecture notes on holographic renormalization

We review the formalism of holographic renormalization. We start by discussing mathematical results on asymptotically anti-de Sitter (AdS) spacetimes. We then outline the general method of
