In general correlated models, in addition to the usual adiabatic component with a spectral index n_ad1 there is another adiabatic component with a spectral index n_ad2 generated by entropy perturbation during inflation. We extend the analysis of a correlated mixture of adiabatic and isocurvature CMB fluctuations of the WMAP group, who set the two adiabatic spectral indices equal. Allowing n_ad1 and n_ad2 to vary independently we find that the WMAP data favor models where the two adiabatic… Expand
Correlated isocurvature perturbations from mixed inflaton-curvaton decay
We study cosmological perturbations in the case in which present-day matter consists of a mixture of inflaton and curvaton decay products. We calculate how the curvaton perturbations are transferredExpand
Hints of isocurvature perturbations in the cosmic microwave background
The improved data on the cosmic microwave background (CMB) anisotropy allow a better determination of the adiabaticity of the primordial perturbation. Interestingly, we find that recent CMB data seemExpand

The improved data on the cosmic microwave background (CMB) anisotropy allow a better determination of the adiabaticity of the primordial perturbation. Interestingly, we find that recent CMB data seemExpand
Squeezing the window on isocurvature modes with the Lyman-{alpha} forest
Various recent studies proved that cosmological models with a significant contribution from cold dark matter isocurvature perturbations are still compatible with most recent data on cosmic microwaveExpand
Constraints on isocurvature models from the WMAP first-year data
We investigate the constraints imposed by the first-year Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP) cosmic microwave background (CMB) data extended to higher multipoles by data from ACBAR,Expand
Density perturbations from both the inflaton and the curvaton
We consider a supersymmetric grand unified model which leads to hybrid inflation and solves the strong CP and μ problems via a Peccei-Quinn symmetry, with the Peccei-Quinn field acting as a curvatonExpand
Constraining Isocurvature Initial Conditions with WMAP 3-year data
We present constraints on the presence of isocurvature modes from the temperature and polarization cosmic microwave background (CMB) spectrum data from the WMAP satellite alone, and in combinationExpand
Bounds on cold dark matter and neutrino isocurvature perturbations from CMB and LSS data
Early universe models for the origin of structure typically produce a spectrum of initial fluctuations with a mixture of adiabatic and isocurvature perturbations. Using the observed anisotropies ofExpand
Isocurvature modes and Baryon Acoustic Oscillations II: gains from combining CMB and Large Scale Structure
We consider cosmological parameters estimation in the presence of a non-zero isocurvature contribution in the primordial perturbations. A previous analysis showed that even a tiny amount ofExpand
CONSTRAINTS ON SCALAR AND TENSOR PERTURBATIONS IN PHENOMENOLOGICAL AND TWO-FIELD INFLATION MODELS: BAYESIAN EVIDENCES FOR PRIMORDIAL ISOCURVATURE AND TENSOR MODES
We constrain cosmological models where the primordial perturbations have an adiabatic and a (possibly correlated) cold dark matter (CDM) or baryon isocurvature component. We use both aExpand
