Fermion masses through condensation in spacetimes with torsion
In this paper we argue the possibility that fermion masses, in particular quarks, originate through the condensation of a fourth family that interacts with all of the quarks via a contact
Constraints on four-fermion contact interactions from precise electroweak measurements
We establish constraints on a general four-fermion contact interaction from precise measurements of electroweak parameters. We compute the one-loop contribution for the leptonic Z width, anomalous
Four-fermion interaction from torsion as dark energy
The observed small, positive cosmological constant may originate from a four-fermion interaction generated by the spin-torsion coupling in the Einstein–Cartan–Sciama–Kibble gravity if the fermions
Cosmological constant from quarks and torsion
We present a simple and natural way to derive the observed small, positive cosmological constant from the gravitational interaction of condensing fermions. In the Riemann‐Cartan spacetime, torsion
Torsion gravity with nonminimally coupled fermionic field: Some cosmological models
We investigate some cosmological models arising from a non-minimal coupling of a fermionic field to gravity in the geometrical setting of Einstein-Cartan-Sciama-Kibble gravity. The role played by the
Universal torsion-induced interaction from large extra dimensions
We consider the Kaluza-Klein (KK) scenario in which only gravity exists in the bulk. Without the assumption of symmetric connection, the presence of brane fermions induces torsion. The result is a
Torsion in Extra Dimensions and One-Loop Observables
We study gravity with torsion in extra dimensions and derive an effective four-dimensional theory containing four-fermion contact operators at the fundamental scale of quantum gravity in the TeV
WEAK FORCES AND NEUTRINO OSCILLATIONS UNDER THE STANDARDS OF HYBRID GRAVITY WITH TORSION
We present a unifying approach where weak forces and neutrino oscillations are interpreted under the same standards of torsional hybrid gravity. This gravitational theory mixes metric and
Updated limits on extra dimensions through torsion and LHC data
It is well known that the inclusion of torsion in the gravitational formalism, leads to four-fermion interactions. Although the coupling constant of this interaction is strongly suppressed in four
Phenomenological Constraints to Dimensionality of the Spacetime with Torsion
Using the recent limits established by ATLAS to the contact four-fermion interaction, bounds on the size of the extra dimensions of space-time have been found, by assuming that the contact
