We present the results of a spectroscopic survey of X-ray-selected, low-mass candidate members of the young open cluster NGC 2547. Using a combination of photometry, spectroscopic indices and radial velocities, we refineour candidate list and then use our spectroscopy to study the progression of lithium depletion in low-mass pre-main-sequence stars. We derive lithium abundances or upper limits for all our candidate members, which have effective temperatures in the range 5000 > T e f f > 3200 K…

The Lithium depletion boundary in NGC 2547 as a test of pre-main-sequence evolutionary models
Intermediate resolution spectroscopy from the European Southern Observatory Very Large Telescope is analysed for 63 photometrically selected low-mass (0.08-0.30 M ○. ) candidates of the open cluster
A lithium depletion boundary age of 22 Myr for NGC 1960
We present a deep Cousins RI photometric survey of the open cluster NGC 1960, complete to R C ≃ 22, I C ≃ 21, that is used to select a sample of very low mass cluster candidates. Gemini spectroscopy
IC 2602: a lithium depletion boundary age and new candidate low-mass stellar members*
We report the results from a photometric and spectroscopic survey of ∼1.4 deg 2 of the young open cluster IC 2602. Fourteen objects have been identified as having magnitudes, spectral types and
Spectroscopy of Very Low Mass Stars and Brown Dwarfs in IC 2391: Lithium Depletion and Hα Emission
We have obtained intermediate-resolution optical spectroscopy of 44 candidate very low mass members of the nearby young open cluster IC 2391. Of these, 26 spectra are totally new, 14 had been
The Keele-Exeter young cluster survey - I. Low-mass pre-main-sequence stars in NGC 2169
We have used R c l c CCD photometry from the Isaac Newton telescope and intermediate-resolution spectroscopy from the Gemini North telescope to identify and characterize low-mass (0.15 < M /M ⊙ <
Lithium Abundances in the alpha Per Cluster
Lithium abundances are presented and discussed for 70 members of the 50 Myr old open cluster alpha Per. More than half of the abundances are from new high-resolution spectra. The Li abundance in the
Low-mass members of the young cluster IC 4665 and pre-main-sequence lithium depletion
We have used fibre spectroscopy to establish cluster membership and examine pre-mainsequence (PMS) lithium depletion for low-mass stars (spectral types F to M) in the sparse young ( 30 Myr) cluster
Low mass stars, brown dwarf candidates and the mass function of the young open cluster NGC 2547
We present a catalogue of R c I c Z photometry over an area of 0.855 square degrees, centred on the young open cluster NGC 2547. The survey is substantially complete to limits of R c = 21.5, I c =
The Monitor project: rotation of low-mass stars in the open cluster NGC 2547: Rotation of low-mass stars in NGC 2547
We report on the results of a V and i-band time-series photometric survey of M34 (NGC 1039) using the Wide Field Camera (WFC) on the Isaac Newton Telescope (INT), achieving better than 1% precision
Search for associations containing young stars (SACY) - III. Ages and Li abundances
Context. Our study is a follow-up of the SACY project, an extended high spectral resolution survey of more than two thousand optical counterparts of X-ray sources in the Southern Hemisphere targeted

The lithium depletion boundary and the age of NGC 2547
We present the results of a photometric and spectroscopic survey of cool M dwarf candidates in the young open cluster NGC 2547. Using the 2dF fibre spectrograph, we have searched for the luminosity
Rotation and lithium in the late-type stars of NGC 2516
We present CCD photometry and high-resolution spectroscopy of low-mass stars in the open cluster NGC 2516, which has an age of about 150Myr and may have a much lower metallicity than the Pleiades. 24
The Evolution of the Lithium Abundances of Solar-Type Stars. VIII. M67 (NGC 2682)
We have used the HIRES spectrograph on the Keck 10 m telescope to obtain echelle spectra of 25 solar-type stars in the old open cluster M67 (NGC 2682) and have used these spectra to derive lithium
Membership, metallicity and lithium abundances for solar-type stars in NGC 6633
We present spectroscopic observations of candidate F, G and K type stars in NGC 6633, an open cluster with a similar age to the Hyades. From the radial velocities and metal-line equivalent widths we

We present intermediate- and low-resolution optical spectra around Hα and Li I λ6708 A for a sample of 25 low mass stars and 2 brown dwarfs with confirmed membership in the pre-main sequence stellar
Membership, lithium, and metallicity in the young open clusters IC 2602 and IC 2391: Enlarging the sample ?;??
We present lithium abundances for50 X-ray selected candidate members of the 30{50 Myr old open clusters IC 2602 and IC 2391. These data enlarge and extend to cooler temperatures previous Li surveys
Pre--Main-Sequence Stars in the Young Cluster IC 2391
Seven or eight new, late-type members of the poor open cluster IC 2391 are identified, and membership is confirmed for two other stars. The new members fall approximately along a 3 x 10 to the 7th yr
