Each of the five solids is examined in turn in a separate chapter. To begin with, several different kinds of model are proposed, including collapsible and folding varieties, and there is a pleasing emphasis on using techniques from elementary geometry to construct the nets and draw various representations of the polyhedra from different viewpoints. The Euler formula is verified, symmetries are examined, different dissections are described and trigonometrical expressions for various lengths…
