Relationships between total (TL), fork (FL) and standard (SL) lengths belonging 19 families from Aegean and Marmara coast of Turkey were presented for 42 fish species. The relationships between TL, FL and SL were all linear and they were all highly significant (P0.90. There were significant differences in the slope of length - length relationships between some localities and type of length conversions for the fish species.

Determination of the best length measurement of fish
TLDR
Index of Average Error (IAE)ested that measurement of TL had significantly lower average errors compared to SL and FL for all species (p 0.05) and there was no significant difference between the personal measurements of different type of lengths. Expand
Variation in Fork-to-Total Length Relationships of North American Lake Trout Populations
Length of fish species with forked tails, such as the lake trout Salvelinus namaycush, can be measured as total (TL), fork (FL), or standard (SL) length, although individual studies of such species...
Length–weight and length–length relationships of 20 fish species from the upper Yangtze River, southwest China
TLDR
Length–weight (LWR) and length–length (LLR) relationships were estimated for 20 species of fish from the upper Yangtze River, southwest China to provide primary data for future fish research and conservation. Expand
Length-weight and length-length relationships of common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) in the middle and southern Iraq provinces
TLDR
A linear relationship between total length (TL) and standard length (SL) among the provinces for fish groups was obtained and could be used as a guide to study the ecology and biology of common Carp in the middle and southern Iraq provinces. Expand
Length-weight and length-length relationships of the European bitterling (Rhodeus amarus (Bloch, 1782)) inhabiting inland waters of Samsun Province
TLDR
According to analyses bitterling has positive allometric growth for two localities and length-length relationships equations show that total, fork and standard length values are very strong between each other. Expand
Length measurement methods of Atlantic mackerel (Scomber scombrus) and Atlantic horse mackerel (Trachurus trachurus) – current practice, conversion keys and recommendations
Abstract International monitoring of Atlantic mackerel (Scomber scombrus) and Atlantic horse mackerel (Trachurus trachurus), two commercial and ecologically epipelagic fish species in the NorthExpand
Biometric analysis of brushtooth lizard fish Saurida undosquamis (Richardson, 1848) from Mumbai waters
TLDR
The aim of the present study was to establish the length-weight relationships (LWRs) and length-length relationships (LLRs) of Saurida undosquamis based on specimens collected from New Ferry Wharf landing centre of Mumbai coast during September 2013 to June 2015. Expand
Length–weight, length–length relationships and feeding habits of wild Indus Mahseer, Tor macrolepis, from Attock, Pakistan
TLDR
Length–weight (LWR) and length–length relationships (LLR) were carried out for Indus Mahseer, Tor macrolepis, from the Haro River and Nalah Kala, Attock, Pakistan, and found to be isometric. Expand
Length-length, length-weight relationship and condition factor of fishes in Nevşehir Province, Kızılırmak River Basin (Turkey)
This study described some biological parameters, including length-weight, length-length relationships and Fulton’s condition factor (K) of Aphanius marassantensis , Capoeta tinca , Carassius auratusExpand
New record and range extension of the big-scale sand smelt Atherina boyeri Risso, 1810 (Atherinidae) in the Devegecidi Dam Lake, Tigris River basin, Turkey
Summary The big-scale sand smelt, Atherina boyeri, is recorded from the Devegecidi Dam Lake in 2016, the first record of this invasive species in the Tigris River basin, with potential to extend toExpand
