Controlling the coherence in the pure dephasing model for arbitrary prescribed periods

We present an open-loop unitary strategy to control the coherence in the pure dephasing model (phase-flip channel) for all initial states and prescribed periods which is able to recover the initial coherence at the end of the control process, even though it is not kept invariant. The strategy's key idea is to drive the initial state to the subset of invariant states for the necessary amount of time using a fine tuned control Hamiltonian.
