The biodegradation and release behaviours of equimolar composed copolyesters of lactic and glycolic acid were investigated in dependence on the microstructure of the copolyester. Random and non-statistical copolyester synthesized by ring-opening polymerization and transesterification, respectively, show different galenic properties.
