Celery leaf curl disease caused by Colletotrichum acutatum was effectively controlled in the long-stemmed celery cultivar, South Australian Long White, by fortnightly sprays of either copper oxychloride, thiram, mancozeb, or chlorothalonil and in the short-stemmed celery cultivar, Tendercrisp, by either thiram, chlorothalonil or benomyl.
