Field tests were conducted in 1983 at Hanford, CA, to further investigate the use of the codling moth granulosis virus (GV) as a control agent. Timing of application and number of applications were investigated. Sprays were commenced at 0.1 and 10% predicted hatch for the GV as well as Zolone. In the small plots, first brood damage was assessed by counting the number of fallen codling moth infested nuts per tree.
