P-element transformation vector pCaSpeR3 was modified to obtain pFRT. The new vector contains two tandem FRT sites flanked by several unique restriction sites and separated by a polylinker harboring five convenient restriction sites, and allows easy cloning of DNA fragments between or close to the FRT sites.
