Abstract Motivated by the recent experimental H1 and ZEUS data at HERA, which have reported evidence for leptoquark production at s=314 GeV with a mass at mD = 200 GeV we consider their implications in unified supersymmetric theories. We also present calculations for leptoquark production incorporating the existing limits from other exotic reactions on its couplings and other relevant parameters.

Constraints from precision electroweak data on leptoquarks and bileptons
Explicit expressions are derived for the oblique parameters S and T in certain extensions of the standard model. In particular, we consider leptoquarks and bileptons, and find phenomenologicalExpand
Stops in R-parity Breaking Model for High-$Q^2$ Events at HERA
Abstract We investigate an event excess in the reaction e+p → e+X with large x and high Q2 observed at HERA and show that the events could naturally be interpreted as a signature of the production ofExpand
Physics of leptoquarks in precision experiments and at particle colliders
We present a comprehensive review of physics effects generated by leptoquarks (LQs), i.e., hypothetical particles that can turn quarks into leptons and vice versa, of either scalar or vector nature.Expand

Production of leptoquarks from superstring models in e-p colliders
Abstract The cross section of the four leading processes of leptoquark production from superstring inspired E6 models in e-p colliders is calculated. An important number of high PT events can beExpand
Signatures of a scalar leptoquark from superstrings at LEP I
Abstract We show that a scalar, colour triplet leptoquark with mass ≲80 GeV/c2, plausibly resulting from E6 compactification in superstring-inspired models, when produced singly on-shell at LEP IExpand
Constraints on SU(5) Type Leptoquarks
Abstract Low energy effects of scalar leptoquarks in SU(5) unification schemes are analyzed. Flavour changing couplings of leptoquarks with masses MLQ=O (100 GeV) have to be strongly suppressed.Expand
Phenomenology of the production, decay, and detection of new hadronic states associated with supersymmetry
Supersymmetric theories involve spinorial partners for the gluons of QCD. If the symmetry breaking is such that they are massless or light, they probably combine with quarks to form families of new,Expand
R-parity violation at HERA?
Abstract We examine the possibility that the high- Q 2 events seen at HERA are due to the production and decay of squarks of R -parity-violating supersymmetry. The relevant R -parity-violatingExpand
Proton decay in supersymmetric models
Abstract We discuss proton decay in supersymmetric theories. We find that it is possible to obtain rates which are comparable with those of standard SU(5). In the presence of a discrete symmetryExpand
Neutrinoless double β-decay without Majorana neutrinos in supersymmetric theories
Abstract Mechanisms for neutrinoless double β-decay, which do not require intermediate Majorana neutrinos, are discussed in the context of supersymmetric models with R-parity violating interactions.Expand
Leptoquarks in lepton-quark collisions
Abstract Low-energy experiments permit the existence of leptoquarks with masses of order 100 GeV and couplings to quark-lepton pairs as large as gauge couplings. We study systematically theExpand
New constraints on R-parity-broken supersymmetry from neutrinoless double beta decay.
New constraints on the parameters of the minimal supersymmetric standard model with explicit {ital R}-parity violation are obtained from the current experimental lower bound on the half-life of {sup 76}Ge 0{nu}{beta}{beta} decay. Expand
Contribution of scalar diquarks to the ΔI = 12 rule
Abstract One of the novel features of the superstring inspired models is the possible appearance of colour triplet particles with diquark couplings. They can mediate hadronic decays of baryons andExpand
