In this paper we consider a constant envelope pilot signal based carrier frequency offset (CFO) estimation in massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems. The proposed algorithm performs spatial averaging on the periodogram of the received pilots across the base station (BS) antennas. Our study reveals that the proposed algorithm has complexity only linear in $M$ (the number of BS antennas). Further our analysis and numerical simulations also reveal that with fixed number of users and…

Information Theoretic Performance of Periodogram-Based CFO Estimation in Massive MU-MIMO Systems
TLDR
Analysis of the information theoretic performance of the modified time-reversal maximum ratio combining (TR-MRC) receiver with the spatially averaged periodogram-based carrier frequency offset (CFO) estimator in multi-user massive MIMO systems shows that an $\mathcal{O}(\sqrt{M})$ array gain is achieved with this periodograms-based CFO estimator.
CFO Estimation for OFDM-Based Massive MIMO Systems in Asymptotic Regime
TLDR
It is shown that the phase information of the covariance matrix of the received signals is solely dependent on the users' CFOs, and if a real-valued pilot is chosen, the CFO values can be straightforwardly calculated from this matrix.

TLDR
This paper introduces a channel estimation strategy for the mmWave massive MIMO network and derives an insightful lower bound for the achievable rate, which becomes tight with a growing number of users, and characterizes the tradeoff among various system parameters.
Performance Analysis of Large Scale Antenna System With Carrier Frequency Offset, Quasi-Static Mismatch and Channel Estimation Error
TLDR
In the presence of carrier frequency offset (CFO), quasi-static RF mismatch and channel estimation error, closed-form expressions of achievable rate for matched filter (MF) and zero-forcing (ZF) precoders are derived and it is indicated that, the DO setup is preferable in the cases without CFO compensation, and vice versa.
