BACKGROUND Effective combination chemotherapy has improved the previously dismal prognosis for malignant ovarian germ cell tumors (MOGCT) dramatically. In young patients, conservative surgery with adjuvant chemotherapy has made the preservation of fertility possible, even in patients with advanced disease.
