Human Aggrus/podoplanin is an identified platelet aggregation-inducing factor of cancer cells, which is also known as a specific marker of lymphatic endothelium. Human Aggrus was known to be expressed in seminoma, squamous cell carcinoma, malignant mesothelioma, sarcomas and several brain tumors.
