Starting from an intrinsic geometric characterization of de Sitter timelike and lightlike geodesics we give a new description of the conserved quantities associated with classical free particles on the de Sitter manifold. These quantities allow for a natural discussion of classical pointlike scattering and decay processes. We also provide an intrinsic definition of the energy of a classical de Sitter particle and discuss its different expressions in various local coordinate systems and their… Expand

Conservation laws for classical particles in Anti-de Sitter-Beltrami space
In this paper we consider the conservation laws for classical particles in AdS4. At first we parameterize a geodesic line and construct conserved quantities with analog of five dimensional MinkowskiExpand
Collective classical motion on hyperbolic spacetimes of any dimensions
The geodesics equations on de Sitter (dS) and anti-de Sitter (AdS) spacetimes of any dimensions, are the starting point for deriving the general form of the Boltzmann equation in terms of conservedExpand
de Sitter Relativity and Quantum Physics
In the presence of a cosmological constant, interpreted as a purely geometric entity, absence of matter is represented by a de Sitter spacetime. As a consequence, ordinary Poincare special relativityExpand
de Sitter relativity in static charts
The relative geodesic motion in static (and spherically symmetric) local charts on the $$(1+3)$$(1+3)-dimensional de Sitter spacetimes is studied in terms of conserved quantities. The LorentzianExpand
Triangular Invariants, Three-Point Functions and Particle Stability on the de Sitter Universe
We study a class of three-point functions on the de Sitter universe and on the asymptotic cone. A blending of geometrical ideas and analytic methods is used to compute some remarkable integrals, onExpand
Localizability in de Sitter space
An analogue of the Newton-Wigner position operator is defined for a massive neutral scalar field in de Sitter space. The one-particle subspace of the theory, consisting of positive-energy solutionsExpand
De sitter relativity: a natural scenario for an evolving Λ
In de Sitter special relativity, spacetime translations are replaced by a combination of translations and proper conformal transformations. As a consequence, the energy-momentum current is replacedExpand
Dirac and Klein-Gordon oscillators on anti-de Sitter space
Abstract. The Dirac and Klein-Gordon oscillators on anti-de Sitter space were considered in a space with deformed commutation relations. Anti-de Sitter commutation relations give rise to theExpand
de Sitter geodesics: reappraising the notion of motion
The de Sitter spacetime is transitive under a combination of translations and proper conformal transformations. Its usual family of geodesics, however, does not take into account this property. As aExpand
Solvable two-particle systems with time-asymmetric interactions in de Sitter space
The two-particle models in de Sitter space-time with time-asymmetric retarded-advanced interactions are constructed. Particular cases of the field-type electromagnetic and scalar interactions areExpand

Particles and Fields on the de Sitter Universe
In this paper we will give a short introduction to the geometry of the de Sitter universe and describe an approach to de Sitter Quantum Field Theory based on the complexification of the de SitterExpand
Doubly special relativity and de Sitter space
In this paper we recall the construction of doubly special relativity (DSR) as a theory with energy–momentum space being the four-dimensional de Sitter space. Then the bases of the DSR theory can beExpand
De Sitter Special Relativity: Effects on cosmology
The main consequences of de Sitter Special Relativity for the Standard Model of physical cosmology are examined. The cosmological constant Λ appears, in this theory, as a manifestation of the properExpand
Analyticity Properties and Thermal Effects for General Quantum Field Theory on de Sitter Space-Time
Abstract:We propose a general framework for quantum field theory on the de Sitter space-time (i.e. for local field theories whose truncated Wightman functions are not required to vanish). ByExpand
Cosmological Term and Fundamental Physics
A nonvanishing cosmological term in Einstein's equations implies a nonvanishing spacetime curvature even in the absence of any kind of matter. It would, in consequence, affect many of the underlyingExpand
On Beltrami model of de Sitter spacetime
Based on some important properties of dS space, we present a Beltrami model BA that may shed light on the observable puzzle of dS space and the paradox between the special relativity principle andExpand

It is shown that there is a natural initial condition, the requirement that the field energy remain finite as the scale factor a becomes small, which specifies a unique, time-dependent, de Sitter vacuum state. Expand
Lifetime of a de Sitter Particle
The familiar rule which, in Minkowski space-time, forbids the decay of a particle into heavier products, does not hold in de Sitter space-time. We study, in first order of perturbation theory, theExpand
