Connecting the SYK Dots

We study a putative (strange) metal-to-insulator transition in a granular array of the Sachdev–Ye–Kitaev (SYK) quantum dots, each occupied by a large number N ≫ 1 of charge-carrying fermions.

The gloria mundi of SYK does not transit yet

This paper discusses the examples of 0 + 1-dimensional Liouvillean dynamics instigated by the various deformations of the Sachdev–Ye–Kitaev (SYK) model. In reference to such deformations the main

SYK does not Transit Gloria Mundi just yet

This note discusses examples of 0 + 1-dimensional Liouvillean dynamics by the various deformations of the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (SYK) model. In reference to such deformations the main focus is on the

Thermalization of randomly coupled SYK models

We investigate the thermalization of Sachdev–Ye–Kitaev (SYK) models coupled via random interactions following quenches from the perspective of entanglement. Previous studies have shown that when a

Connecting the SYK Dots

We study a putative (strange) metal-to-insulator transition in a granular array of the Sachdev–Ye–Kitaev (SYK) quantum dots, each occupied by a large number N ≫ 1 of charge-carrying fermions.

One SYK SET

We study the behavior of a single electron transistor (SET) represented by a dissipative tunnel junction between a pair of quantum dots described by two (possibly, different) Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (SYK)

Approximating the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model with Majorana wires

The Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (SYK) model describes a collection of randomly interacting Majorana fermions that exhibits profound connections to quantum chaos and black holes. We propose a solid-state

Charge transport in graphene-based mesoscopic realizations of Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev models

We consider a recent proposal for a physical realization of the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (SYK) model in the zeroth-Landau-level sector of an irregularly-shaped graphene flake. We study in detail charge

Quantum Criticality of Granular Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev Matter.

A zero-temperature quantum phase transition between an insulating phase at weak and a metallic phase at strong hopping is identified within the framework of Schwarzian field theory.

Metal-insulator transition in a random Hubbard model

We examine the metal-insulator transition in a half-filled Hubbard model of electrons with random and all-to-all hopping and exchange, and an on-site non-random repulsion, the Hubbard $U$. We argue

Topological Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model

In this Rapid Communication, we construct a large-$N$ exactly solvable model to study the interplay between interaction and topology, by connecting the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (SYK) model with constant

Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev Non-Fermi-Liquid Correlations in Nanoscopic Quantum Transport.

Focusing on signatures in quantum transport, it is demonstrated the existence of anomalous power laws in the temperature dependent conductance, including algebraic scaling T3/2 in the inelastic cotunneling channel, separated from the conventional Fermi liquid T^{2} scaling via a quantum phase transition.

Strongly Correlated Metal Built from Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev Models.

This work exemplifies an analytically controlled study of a strongly correlated metal crossover in full detail, including thermodynamics, low temperature Landau quasiparticle interactions, and both electrical and thermal conductivity at all scales.

Notes on the complex Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model

We describe numerous properties of the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model for complex fermions with N  ≫ 1 flavors and a global U(1) charge. We provide a general definition of the charge in the ( G, Σ)
