NHK is developing Super Hi-Vision, a form of ultra-high-definition TV. In order to transmit multiple SHV programs and other advanced forms of broadcasting, satellite broadcasting in the 21-GHz band is expected. We have proposed an array-fed reflector antenna as part of a wide band and high power transponder combining outputs of the each element through high power amplifiers that are close to the elements.
