A measurement technique for the mapping of complex compressible flowfields using planar laser-induced iodine fluorescence (PLIIF) is presented. Time-averaged values of all relevant flowfield properties are found : pressure, temperature, velocity, and, for mixing flowfields, injectant mole fraction.
