Computationally Simple Battery Management Techniques for Wireless Nodes

In this paper, we investigate different battery management policies for a wireless node. The goal is to increase the lifetime of a node by exploiting its battery characteristics. We have presented a framework for maximizing the lifetime of a battery by using an optimal management. In this work, we propose and compare the performance of several suboptimal battery management strategies which are computationally simple and closely approximate the performance of the optimal strategy.
