The composition and structure of the triacylglycerols (TAGs) of the seeds of ripe fruit of the sea buckthorn of the Dar Katuni, Maslichnaya, and Shcherbinka-1 varieties have been investigated with the aid of lipase hydrolysis. The amounts of fatty acid (FA) residues in the 2-positions of the TAGs, the concentrations of the FAs in the 1,3-positions, the position-type and position-species compositions of the TAGs, and also the values of the enrichment factors (EFs) and inclusion-selectivity…
Changes in Triacylglycerol Composition in Maturing Sea Buckthorn (Hippophaë rhamnoides) Seeds
The decrease in the content of a certain group of triunsaturated TAGs found here seems to be caused by their metabolization during seed maturation.
Triacylglycerol and polar lipid metabolism in germinating sea buckthorn seeds
Dark germination of sea buckthorn (Hippophal rhamnoides L.) seeds was characterized by an initial 3-day-long lag-period, when the contents of triacylglycerols (TAGs) and polar lipids (PLs) remained
Analysis of triacylglycerols of seeds and berries of sea buckthorn (Hippophaë rhamnoides) of different origins by mass spectrometry and tandem mass spectrometry
TAG of seeds, berries, and fruit pulp/peel of different subspecies of sea buckthorn (Hippophaë rhamnoides) were analyzed by MS and tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS). The seeds contained mainly TAG

The α,β-distribution of oleic, linoleic and linolenic acids in cruciferae seed triglycerides
Correlation studies on lipolysis data from 24 species of Cruciferae seed triglycerides have revealed very regular positional distribution patterns for oleic, linoleic and linolenic acids. When the
Glyceride studies. V. The distribution of unsaturated acyl groups in vegetable triglycerides
The results indicate that these unsaturated acids do not compete equally for the secondary hydroxyl group in vegetable triglycerides.
Computer determination of all individual structures of triglyceride molecules of fats and oils
A method for calculating all of the individual structures of triglyceride molecules (ISTM) of fats and oils based on a digital computer program using operational language FORTRAN is presented.
