    • With the objective to identify botanically the woody species present in a tropical dry forest in in the San Jose de Guaribe Parish, northeast of Guarico state, Venezuela, it was carried out an evaluation on a 4 ha area. The studied zone is classified as a deciduous forest with a mean annual temperature of 27 o C and precipitation of 979 mm.
