A complex contact threefold is a threefold with a two-dimensional non-integrable holomorphic distribution. A contact curve on a contact threefold is an integrable curve of the distribution. This work was inspired by two papers of Bryant, in which he used complex contact geometry to study superminimal surfaces in four-sphere and to investigate exotic holonomies. The present paper is devoted to systematical studies of contact threefold and contact curves on them. We generalize a result of Bryant…
Deformations and Moduli of Superminimal Surfaces in the Four-Sphere
In this article we derive an expression for the second variation of area of a superminimal immersion f:Σ2 → S4 and the corresponding Jacobi operator. We then show the only minimal deformations of the
Tropical geometry for Nagata's conjecture and Legendrian curves
In this thesis, tropical methods in singularity theory and legendrian geometry are developed; tropical modifications are surveyed and several technical statements about them are proven. In more

Stable vector bundles and instantons
Methods of abstract algebraic geometry are used to study rank 2 stable vector bundles on ℙ3. These bundles are then used to give self-dual solutions, called instantons, of the Yang-Mills equation
