Osteochilus salsburyi (Cypriniformes, Cyprinidae) is a small-sized fish of significant economic value. In this paper, the complete mitogenome sequence of O. salsburyi was first determined. It is 16,599 bp in length and consists of a typical vertebrate genome structure including 13 protein-coding genes, 2 ribosomal RNA genes, 22 transfer RNA (tRNA) genes, and a control region.
