Abstract: Cis‐3‐(3, 4‐dichlorophenyl)‐2‐N, N‐dirnethylaminomethyl‐bi‐cyclo‐[2, 2, 2]‐octane hydrochloride (LR5182) inhibited the uptake of dopamine by a synaptosomal fraction of corpus striatum of rat brain with an inhibitor constant (Ki value) of 6 nM. Kinetics analysis according to the methods of Lineweaver‐Burk and Dixon revealed a competitive inhibition of dopamine uptake of LR5182. When the uptake of dopamine by the noradrenergic terminals in the synaptosomal fraction of cerebral cortex…
Effect of 3‐PPP, a putative dopamine autoreceptor agonist, on [3H]ligand binding to dopamine receptors of calf and rat striatum
TLDR
3‐(3‐Hydroxyphenyl)‐N‐n‐propyliperidine (3‐PPP) is most effective in inhibiting [3H]apomorphine binding in rat striatal membranes, with Ki values of 63 nM, which is consistent with its binding to a subset of dopamine receptors which are characterized by a high affinity for both the agonist and antagonist of dopamine.
Neurochemical Profile of Lu 19‐005, a Potent Inhibitor of Uptake of Dopamine, Noradrenaline, and Serotonin
TLDR
Since DA, NA, and 5‐HT seem to be involved in depression, the profile of Lu 19–005–with equally potent activity on the three neuronal systems makes it an interesting experimental tool and a potential new antidepressant agent.
Biochemical and Pharmacological Characterization of [3H]GBR 12935 Binding In Vitro to Rat Striatal Membranes: Labeling of the Dopamine Uptake Complex
TLDR
DA uptake and the DA uptake binding site of [3H]GBR 12935 were located primarily in the striatum, but the piperazine acceptor site was distributed uniformly throughout the brain, and inhibitors of DA uptake label the carrier site and prevent the carrier process.
Neurochemical and behavioural profile of Lu 17‐133, (±)‐trans‐4‐[3‐(3,4‐dichlorophenyl)‐indan‐1‐yl]‐1‐piperazineethanol, an inhibitor of the uptake of dopamine and noradrenaline
TLDR
The neurochemical and behavioural characteristics of Lu 17‐133‐inhibition of dopamine‐ and noradrenaline‐uptake in vitro with low stimulatory properties in vivo make it an interesting candidate as a new antidepressant drug.
Pharmacology in vivo of the phenylindan derivative, lu 19-005, a new potent inhibitor of dopamine, noradrenaline and 5-hydroxytryptamine uptake in rat brain
TLDR
Effect on DA mechanisms are responsible for the behavioural activity of the test compounds in the rat models and that the circling model is the most sensitive, indicating that DA may be involved in some depressive states.

TLDR
The similarity between the properties of low affinity dopamine binding and those of uptake systems in synaptic vesicles and adrenal chromaffln granules suggests the possibility that the apparent binding reaction is, in fact, due to the transport of dopamine into vesiculated membrane fragments.

TLDR
Synaptosomes and other subcellular organelles were prepared from rat brain using a vertical rotor andKinetic analysis of data revealed that high and low affinity uptake systems existed and the relative contributions of these systems were dependent on the fraction under analysis.

TLDR
The tubular configuration of EXP-561 may be the most appropriate for blocking serotonin uptake and the conformation defined by the combination resulting from superimposition of the CP-24-441 and desipramine structures is apparently optimal for blocking norepinephrine uptake.
A new selective inhibitor for uptake of serotonin into synaptosomes of rat brain: 3-(p-trifluoromethylphenoxy). N-methyl-3-phenylpropylamine.
TLDR
Lilly 110140 is a potent and selective inhibitor for uptake of 5-HT into synaptosomes of rat brain and its primary amine derivative did not block the in vivo uptake of NE into rat heart.

TLDR
Inhibition of dopamine uptake may potentiate the synaptic actions of dopamine in the striatum and could explain the antiparkinsonian effects of these drugs.
