The ground state properties of spin-1/2 ladders are studied, emphasizing the role of frustration and ring exchange coupling. We present a unified field theory for ladders with general coupling constants and geometry. Rich phase diagrams can be deduced by using a renormalization group calculation for ladders with in--chain next nearest neighbor interactions and plaquette ring exchange coupling. In addition to established phases such as Haldane, rung singlet, and dimerized phases, we also observe…

Abstract The effect of transition to disordered phase on AC conductivity in the two-dimensional frustrated ferrimagnetic model in the square lattice at T = 0 is investigated. The spin conductivity, σ
Quantum phase transition of the Bose-Hubbard model with anisotropic hopping on a cubic lattice
In a quantum many-body system, dimensionality plays a critical role in determining the type of quantum phase transition. To study the quantum system during dimensional crossover, we studied the
Multiparticle Interactions for Ultracold Atoms in Optical Tweezers: Cyclic Ring-Exchange Terms.
TLDR
A protocol showing how SU(N)-invariant multibody interactions can be implemented in optical tweezer arrays is proposed, and how the proposed protocol can be utilized to implement the strongly frustrated J-Q model, a candidate for hosting a deconfined quantum critical point.
Ground-state phase diagram of the frustrated spin- 12 two-leg honeycomb ladder
We investigate a spin-$1/2$ two-leg honeycomb ladder with frustrating next-nearest-neighbor (NNN) coupling along the legs, which is equivalent to two $J_1$-$J_2$ spin chains coupled with $J_\perp$ at

The specific heat and magnetic properties of a spin-1/2 ladder including butterfly-shaped molecular cages
The specific heat, structural characterization, and magnetic property studies of a new spin configuration of butterfly-shaped molecular cages are reported. The model introduced here is an infinite
The specific heat and magnetic properties of two species of spin-1/2 ladders with butterfly-shaped unit blocks.
TLDR
It is proved that the reentrance points can be satisfactorily considered as magnetization plateau witnesses even in the high temperatures and that the fluctuations of the specific heat with respect to the magnetic field are in highly accordance with the magnetization plateaus and magnetization jumps.
Intrinsic jump character of first-order quantum phase transitions
We find that the first-order quantum phase transitions~(QPTs) are characterized by intrinsic jumps of relevant operators while the continuous ones are not. Based on such an observation, we propose a
Entanglement of Hard‐Core Bosons on the Honeycomb Lattice
The entanglement of hard-core bosons in square and honeycomb lattices with nearest-neighbor interactions is estimated by means of quantum Monte Carlo simulations and spin-wave analysis. The
Thermal properties of rung-disordered two-leg quantum spin ladders: Quantum Monte Carlo study.
TLDR
A two-leg quenched random bond disordered antiferromagnetic spin-1/2 Heisenberg ladder system is investigated by means of stochastic series expansion quantum Monte Carlo method and has a special temperature point at which the specific heat takes the same value regardless of the strength of the disorder.
