Abstract Compared to isokinetic and isometric tests, isoinertial movements have been poorly used to assess single-joint performance. Two calculation procedures were developed to estimate mechanical performance during single-joint isoinertial movements performed on a customised isokinetic dynamometer. Subjective sensitivity data: Considerations to treat heteroscedasticity

A simple approach is shown for how to detect heteroscedasticity in VPTs measured at the plantar aspect of the hallux by means of logarithmizing the raw data and the importance of how data benefits from this transformation is demonstrated.

Mechanical correction of dynamometer moment for the effects of segment motion during isometric knee-extension tests.

The results indicate that during isometric knee extension, the internal knee angle changed significantly from rest to the maximum contraction state by about 19°, and these differences cannot be neglected if the moment-knee-joint angle relationship or the muscle mechanical properties, such as length-tension relationship, need to be determined.
