The trial enrolled 351 patients aged ≥50 years with International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) ≥13, maximum urinary flow rate 5–15 ml/s, total prostate volume ≥30 ml, postvoid residual urine volume ≤200 ml and fasting serum LDL 100–190 mg/dl.
