RATIONALE AND OBJECTIVES To compare the magnetic resonance (MR) imaging characteristics of gadolinium-DTPA (Gd-DTPA), a low-molecular-weight contrast agent, and polylysine-Gd-DTPA, a macromolecular contrast agent, in two types of hepatocarcinomas (HCC) in the rat.
