BACKGROUND Direct sequencing and amplification refractory mutation system (ARMS) are commonly used to detect epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutation status in patients with non-small-cell lung cancer to inform the decision-making on tyrosine kinase inhibitors treatment.
