Objective The aim of this study was to compare the cutting are, root canal anatomy preservation and non-instrumented areas of F360®, F6-SkyTaper®, Hyflex-EDM®, iRACE®, Neoniti®, O.Shape®, P.Next®, Reciproc®, Revo-S® and Wave-One-Gold® size 25 files. Materials and Methods 300 teeth with a single straight root and a circular or elliptical root canal were divided into 10 groups (1-F360®, 2- F6-SkyTaper®, 3-Hyflex-EDM®, 4-iRACE®, 5-Neoniti®, 6-O.Shape®, 7-P.Next®, 8-Reciproc®, 9-Revo-S® and 10-Wave…

Figures and Tables from this paper

Ex-Vivo Comparison of the Dentin Removal Ability of One Shape and F6 SkyTaper Rotary Files

The amount of the dentin removed from the root canals by the SkyTaper F6rotary system was greater compared to the One Shape rotary system although the difference was not statistically significant.

Comparative Assessment of the Shaping and Cleaning Abilities of M-Pro and Revo-S versus ProTaper Next Rotary Ni-Ti Systems: An In Vitro study

M-Pro Nickel Titanium rotary system had a negligible effect on root canal transportation which was similar to the ProTaper Next and Revo-S systems and no system was able to clean the root canal system completely.

An in vitro Comparative Evaluation of Volume of Removed Dentin, Canal Transportation, and Centering Ratio of 2Shape, WaveOne Gold, and ProTaper Gold Files Using Cone-Beam Computed Tomography

Both 2S and WOG maintained the original canal anatomy better and did not remove excess dentin while chemomechanical preparation as compared to ProTaper Gold.

Shaping ability of 2Shape and NeoNiTi rotary instruments in preparation of curved canals using micro-computed tomography

2Shape and NeoNiTi systems with severely curved canals were confirmed to be relatively safe in preparation and to respect original canal anatomy within the limitation of this in vitro study.

Shaping Ability of 2Shape and WaveOne Gold Files Using Cone-Beam Computed Tomography

2Shape and WOG preserved the original canal anatomy well and did not eliminate excess dentin during shaping and cleaning and attained an outcome analogous to that of the rotary files working on reciprocating motion in relation to alteration in angle.

A comparative evaluation of remaining dentin thickness following biomechanical preparation of teeth using different rotary file systems: An in vitro study

More dentin was removed at the coronal in mesiodistal direction with the use of ProTaper Next, and significant difference was seen between Protaper Next group and other groups in the study.

Canal centring ability of two single file systems with different kinematics using cone beam computed tomography – an in vitro study

Though there was no significant difference between the two groups, Wave One Gold with reciprocating motion showed comparatively better centring ability at middle and apical third, compared to rotary single file system (TOne).

Digital analysis of shaping ability and topographic changes in M and C wire rotary NiTi systems.

The primary outcome of this study intends to assess the Shaping ability and surface topographic changes of the 2 rotary Nickel Titanium systems: A) One Curve (Micro Méga, Besançon, France)B)

Comparative Evaluation of Three Different Rotary NiTi File System with Different Generation for Root Canal Centric Ability Using CBCT: An in-vitro Study

ProTaperNext rotary system has negligible canal transportation and better centric ability in compression to Mani Silk and M tow rotary file system and is one of the few rotary systems that provides quick and safe endodontic preparation.

Endodontic File Systems with Special Emphasis on Self-adjusting Files: A Comprehensive Review

This article represents a thorough understanding in relation to cleaning and shaping of root canal system which is of utmost importance for the success of treatment. Numerous systems and techniques

A Comparative Study of Shaping Ability of four Rotary Systems.

The 4 different rotary systems produced similar cutting area, root canal anatomy preservation and non-instrumented areas, and F360(®) was the fastest system statistically.

Comparative evaluation of shaping ability of V-Taper 2H, ProTaper Next, and HyFlex CM in curved canals using cone-beam computed tomography: An in vitro Study

The canal preparation with V-Taper 2H showed lesser transportation and better centering ability than PN and Hyflex CM, and it was seen that PN caused less transportation in apical level than HyflexCM.

Assessment Using AutoCAD Software of the Preparation of Dentin Walls in Root Canals Produced by 4 Different Endodontic Instrument Systems

There are no differences between the various root canal instrument systems in the apical and middle thirds and at the coronal third level, Wave One system showed performance significantly worse than the rest, among which there were no differences.

ProTaper and WaveOne systems three-dimensional comparison of device parameters after the shaping technique. A micro-CT study on simulated root canals.

Results from micro-CT analysis revealed that Wave One result in a decrease of volume and surface area of shaping than ProTaper Universal, but differences are not statistically significant.

[In vitro study of shaping ability of single-file techniques in curved canals].

Compared with the continuous rotary systems, the reciprocating single-file system A showed better apical shaping ability and both single- file techniques were more efficient than full-sequential systems for curved canal preparation.
