Intra-body communication (IBC) is a new, "wireless" communication technique that enables electronic devices on or sometimes near the body to exchange the information. It uses the dielectric properties of human tissues so that human body can be used as the communication channel for data exchange. Transmitting data directly through the skin is can be much more efficient than current wireless transmission technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi), since it requires much less energy.
