The oxidation of o-,m-,p-xylene with molecular oxygen at atmosphere pressure and 120℃ were catalyzed by 0.12 mmol/g Co-O/SiO_2 calcinated at 350℃.The conversion of o-,m-,p-xylene were respectively 40.2%,27.5% and 47.4%,and the yields of o-,m-,p-toluic acid were respectively 27.9%,19.9% and 39.8% for 5.5 h.The catalysts were characterized by IR and XRD.
