In order to investigate the affinities of the hitherto considered Neotropical Cleomenini genera, a detailed morphological comparative study was carried out based on representatives of their type species and other congeneric species. The results, when compared with representatives of Cleomenes Thomson and other non Neotropical Cleomenini genera together with representatives of Rhopalophorini Blanchard and Rhinotragini Thomson, show that: 1) Listroptera Audinet-Serville, 1834, Dihammaphora… Expand

A Revision of the Genus Callimoxys Kraatz (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) in America North of Mexico and Review of World Species
TLDR
A morphometric study was conducted using 67 characters from adults of the North American species of Callimoxys Kraatz, 1863 to determine which characters aid in the diagnosis of taxa, and their relative amounts of resolving power using canonical variates analysis. Expand
Brachylophora, a new brachypterous genus of Rhopalophorini (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae)
TLDR
The genus is transferred from Rhinotragini to Rhopalophorini based on the following characters: eyes well separated in both sexes, frons between eyes depressed and lacking frontal suture; and, more generally, structural features of hind legs, and surface ornamentation. Expand
Revision of the genus Dihammaphora Chevrolat (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae). I. Species with 11-segmented antennae
TLDR
The species of Dihammaphora with 11 antennal segments are revised, seven are redescribed and four are described as new; a redescription of the genus is provided, based on the species with 11-segmented antennae. Expand
Casey's conundrum, a review of the genus Semanotus Mulsant (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae: Cerambycinae: Callidiini) in North America.
TLDR
A morphometric study revealed significant sexual dimorphism among taxa and suggested that three taxa were present, however, only two taxa could be reasonably separated using observable characters. Expand
Catalogue of family-group names in Cerambycidae (Coleoptera)
Family-group names proposed for beetles belonging to the family Cerambycidae are catalogued and their availability is determined using the rules of the current International Code of ZoologicalExpand
Differences in genitalia structure and function between subfamilies of longhorn beetles (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae)
TLDR
It is found that male genitalia in particular are taxon-specific on a higher taxonomic level; e.g., the parameres are widely variable in Cerambycinae, while in most Lamiinae species they appear relatively uniform and differ from those of the Ceram bycinee. Expand
Meringodes Wappes and Lingafelter (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae: Cerambycinae), a New Genus of Rhopalophorini from Bolivia
TLDR
Meringodes is a monotypic new genus of Rhopalophorini that possesses characters of Thalusia Thomson and Cosmisoma Audinet-Serville and a new species, Meringodes solangeae Wappes and Lingafelter, is described from Santa Cruz Department, Bolivia. Expand
A new species of Curius Newman (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) from Venezuela with notes on sexual dimorphism within the genus
TLDR
A new species, Curius chemsaki, from Venezuela is described and features distinguishing the new species from its congeners as well as a key to the four species are presented. Expand
Preliminary checklist of Bolivian Cerambycidae (Coleoptera)
A list of the Cerambycidae of Bolivia is presented. It totals 1,259 species including 496 new country records. When available the known geographical distribution by department is shown for eachExpand
