This paper presents the comparison of R.C.C. and Prestressed Concrete Flat Slab. This work includes the design and estimates for R.C.C. and Prestressed Concrete flat slabs of various spans. The aim of this work is to design R.C.C. as well as prestressed concrete flat slabs for various spans and then compare the results. Programming in MS EXCEL is done to design both types of flat slabs. The idea is to reach a definite conclusion regarding the superiority of the two techniques over one another…

A Review on Seismic Assessment of Post-Tensioned Flat Slab

The use of post-tensioned flat slab is increasing widely, due to its advantages over traditional concrete. These slabs have been proved to be the most economical when compared to the RCC slabs. As

Optimum design of reinforced concrete flat slab with drop and column head

A reinforced concrete slab is supported directly by concrete columns without the use of beams. Flat slabs are highly versatile elements widely used in construction, providing minimum depth, fast

Analytical Study between Flat and Hollow Block Slabs in Sudan

In this study, one of a structural member which called slabs are studied as general and in particular, one of these types hollow block and flat slab are investigated as a structural system. These

Comparative Study of Flat Slab with Old Traditional Two Way Slab Sumit Pahwa

A traditional common practice in construction is to support slab by beam and beam supported by column this may be called as beam slab load transfer construction technique. As due to this old

STRUCTURAL DESIGN AND COMPARATIVE STUDY OF RCC BUILDING ON PT SLAB & FLAT SLAB BUILDING UNDER THE DYNAMIC ANALYSIS”

: Precast concrete is well known technology in which some Standardized units which are manufactured in factories are used for fast Construction. Though the technology is developed many years ago but

Review on Comparative Study on R.C.C Flat Slab and R.C.C Grid Slab

The traditional method of construction is to support slab by beam and beam by columns it is known as beam slab load transfer construction technique, but the modern technique developed is gaining more

EVALUATION OF POST TENSIONED SLAB AND ITS CONTRAST WITH TRADITIONAL RCC SLAB: REVIEW

Post-tensioning is a technique for reinforcing concrete slabs with high-strength tendons. Tendons retain much more concrete in compression. Posttension floors are capable of bearing almost every dead

Review for study of prestressing systems for all structural element

Pt not only give the problems beautiful solution, but he also showed us how to build it., Now a days , as architectural demand ,structure become more slender and have a very long span ,by RCC we

SEISMIC BEHAVIOUR OF PRESTRESSED

India is a fast developing country as well as India have got second place in the world population. So that now a days the demand of area of construction is going on increasing everywhere. To overcome

Analytical Approach to Study Effect of Shear Wall on Flat Slab & Two Way Slab

Slab directly supported on column termed as flat slab. The present objective of this work is to compare behavior of flat slab with old traditional two way slab along with effect of shear walls on

Analysis And Design of Flat Slab And Grid Slab And Their Cost Comparison

The FLAT slab system of construction is one in which the beam is used in the conventional methods of construction done away with the directly rests on column and the load from the slabs is directly

Prestressed Concrete

The AASHTO/PCI precast prestressed concrete box beam sections used by the Structure and Bridge Division in the past have shown that these sections are not cost effective when compared with other
